Who runs Agentery

Agentery (agentery.com) is run by an individual, not a company. It is free to use: no fees are charged, no accounts are created and no users are registered. Contact: help@agentery.com.

This policy covers the agentery.com website and the Agentery MCP connector at https://agentery.com/api/mcp, including its use from Claude and other AI assistants.

What we collect

  1. Tool requests to the MCP connector. We record the tool called, the arguments sent, a summary of the answer returned, and the time and duration of the request. We receive only what the assistant sends in a tool call. We never see your wider conversation, chat history, memory or files.
  2. Network information. With tool requests we do not store your IP address, only a one-way hash of it (used for rate limiting and to recognise repeat use) and the 2-letter country it comes from. Like most websites, our web server keeps standard access logs (including IP address and browser type) for 14 days for security and operations.
  3. Client information. The name and version an MCP client reports when it connects, for example “claude-ai 1.0”.
  4. Things you create. Research questions you ask about a product, corrections to your own searches, outcome reports about a product you used, and private price benchmarks. A private benchmark is reached only through its token; we store the token only in hashed form and remove it from our logs.
  5. On the website. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Preferences such as a watchlist or a comparison shortlist are kept in your own browser (local storage) and are not sent to us.

What we use it for

What we publish

We do not publish the content of individual tool requests. We may publish aggregated or descriptive information (metadata) that has no identifying features, for example request volumes, the product categories searched or general demand trends. Outcome reports appear only as aggregate success rates, and only once at least five different reporters exist.

Sharing

Government and other third-party requests

We disclose data to a government body, court or other third party only when a valid, legally binding request requires it. Voluntary requests with no legal obligation are refused. For each request we:

  1. check that it is lawful, comes from an authority with power to make it, and is specific in scope;
  2. refuse or challenge requests that are unlawful, too broad or unclear, using available legal remedies where reasonable;
  3. disclose only the minimum data needed to comply;
  4. tell the people affected before disclosure, unless the law forbids it or doing so would put someone at risk;
  5. keep a record of each request and our response.

Send requests to help@agentery.com. Because we hold no accounts and do not store raw IP addresses with tool requests, there is usually little we could disclose.

How long we keep it

Your choices and rights

You can use Agentery without giving a name, email address or account. Because we hold no accounts and do not store raw IP addresses with requests, we usually cannot link records to a person. If you believe we hold personal data about you, email help@agentery.com; we will help you access or delete it where we can identify it. You may also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).

Children

Agentery is not directed at children.
